Michigan?
We are hearing this more and more, homeowners being quoted
10, 12, even $15,000 to have their crawl space encapsulated. We are willing to
travel outside our home state to help our customers. The cost will vary
depending on which state you live in but our prices are very affordable to start
with so chances are we will be less costly than the companies that feel they
have the marked "locked up".
We also offer a consulting option. This is where you hire
your own labor and we come to you to teach them how to install the encapsulation
products properly. This could be very cost effective with reliable labor.
A good place to start is with these links.

Insects-
Here is what
Ohio State University says about the powder post
beetle.
The
Powder Post Beetle and What to do about it.
When researching the powder post beetle and mold note that the
first recommendation is to control moisture.
If you are installing it for the first time there is a
learning curve which will amount to taking more time. Most often with 2-3 people
on a 1000 sq ft home at 2' high (or higher) you can expect 2 to 3 days depending
on conditions and the motivation of the labor force.
We have a little different take on the franchise
opportunity. We offer to help set up honest, reliable and financially secure
contractors that see the need for this service in their area. Contact us for
more information on this subject.
NO, don't be fooled by the inexperienced
contractor or handyman. Plastic does not seal out moisture nor does it keep
the crawl space humidity down. In a matter of only a few years the plastic will
become brittle and when a person or an animal walks or crawls on the plastic it
starts to break apart leaving the dirt crawl completely exposed again. Then
you have to pay to do it again. With the DrySpace™
encapsulation system you only have to do it once on a home.
What most people don't realize is that nearly 50% of the
air you breathe in your home comes from the crawl space. If there is mold,
water, rotting wood, or old fuel oil tanks in the crawl space you are breathing
very unhealthy air. Radon gas is not just a problem with homes built on
basements it is also a very real threat for homes on crawl spaces. An inspection
is FREE, you owe it to yourself and your family to find out if there is a
problem.
